Palo Alto residents can stop by Rinconada Library on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. for a free rundown of state and Santa Clara County ballot propositions ahead of the Nov. 3 election, no registration required.
The Junior League of Palo Alto–Mid Peninsula and CalSPAC, the public affairs committee of California's Junior Leagues, are co-hosting "Popcorn & Propositions," a free drop-in fair covering the 14 California state propositions and Santa Clara County measures on the Nov. 3 ballot. The organizers describe the event as non-partisan, according to the Junior League's event listing.
Voters have several key dates ahead. County election officials will begin mailing ballots by Oct. 5, and the last day to register or update a registration address online is Oct. 19, according to CalMatters.
Rinconada Library is at 1213 Newell Rd. and is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, well within the event's window.
