Stanford men's gymnastics, fresh off its sixth NCAA championship in seven years, signed five recruits on Monday, July 27, for the 2027 season, head coach Thom Glielmi announced via the program's website.

The incoming class includes Nartey Brady (Albuquerque, N.M.), Carter Daniel (League City, Texas), Kiefer Hong (Tomball, Texas), Maksim Kan (Muskego, Wis.), and Justin Park (San Diego, Calif.). All five are 2026 high school graduates who will arrive on The Farm in fall 2026.

Three of them are already competing at the senior elite level. Brady, Kan, and Park have all qualified for the 2026 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships, scheduled for Aug. 6-9 in Phoenix, according to USA Gymnastics.

Kan is the class's most decorated international competitor. He won team gold at the 2026 Junior Pan American Championships in Rio de Janeiro and placed second on pommel horse and still rings. He dominated the 2025 U.S. Championships junior division, winning five titles: all-around, floor, pommel horse, vault, and high bar.

Brady won the 2026 Men's Development Program National Championships all-around and vault, and represented Team USA at the 2025 DTB Pokal Team Challenge in Stuttgart, Germany. Kiefer Hong won the 2024 U.S. Championships still rings title in the junior 16 division and is a two-time Elite Team Cup champion. He is the youngest of three Hong brothers to join Stanford gymnastics, following Xander and Olympic bronze medalist Asher Hong.

Park won the 2023 U.S. Championships still rings title (junior 16) and placed second in the all-around at the 2024 Championships. Daniel placed third on still rings and high bar at the 2025 Development Program Nationals.

The class arrives at a program riding a historic streak. Stanford's April 18 championship victory extended the university's consecutive-year NCAA title streak to 50, the longest in college athletics. The Cardinal led wire-to-wire, scoring 329.825 to edge Oklahoma's 328.495.

"We've won before, but there can only be one team that keeps the 50 years alive," Glielmi told Stanford Magazine in April after the title win. "It's just a tremendous joy and honor to be part of."

Glielmi, in his 24th season leading the program, has won eight national championships and been named National Coach of the Year nine times. He has mentored 39 NCAA individual champions and 235 All-Americans.

The pipeline runs through Palo Alto's backyard. SB Gymnastics, a boys' competitive club located inside Stanford's Arrillaga Gymnastics Facility, opened in 2010 to revive local interest in boys' gymnastics in the Bay Area. The club trains athletes from Level 4 through Level 10 in the same facility where the Cardinal practices.

The 2027 collegiate season schedule has not been announced. Brady, Kan, and Park compete next at the U.S. Championships in Phoenix starting Aug. 6.
