27 Miles Malibu’s new Palo Alto boutique will host private made-to-measure fittings Oct. 14–17, with three visiting tailors from Sicily, according to the Palo Alto Daily Post.

Appointments will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day at Town & Country Village, 855 El Camino Real, Suite 5. Customers can select fabrics and details for custom suits, jackets or coats.

The boutique opened in September, according to the Palo Alto Daily Post, and the brand advertised a Sept. 3 grand-opening event on Instagram. It is the company’s third store, joining locations in San Marino and Montecito.

Owners Ernie and Emily Vallorano are a married couple who design the clothing, with Ernie responsible for menswear and Emily for the women’s collection, the Post reported.

Before establishing their own brand, the couple spent more than a decade designing for private labels. The Post traced the brand’s name to a sign they encountered on the Pacific Coast Highway: “Welcome to Malibu, 27 miles of scenic beauty.”

The company says it partners with The Good Cashmere Standard and the Sustainable Fibre Alliance.

Its San Marino and Montecito stores opened in 2025, according to the Post.

Three tailors visiting from Sicily—Ernesto, Nicola and Gaetano—will conduct private fittings. Customers can select fabrics from mills including Loro Piana and Zegna for suits, jackets or coats and choose details such as buttons, linings and lapels.

“You can make a truly unique one-of-a-kind item that’s truly yours,” Ernie Vallorano told the Post.

The tailoring service operates through Vallorani, the company’s Italian fashion division, which offers ready-to-wear clothing and made-to-measure pieces. Customers can request a fitting through the Palo Alto store’s website.

Another retailer, CardVault by Tom Brady, announced plans for an Aug. 15 opening at Town & Country Village, The Almanac reported.

27 Miles Malibu is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to its official store page. For information, call 650-788-3695.
